DSA Fire Address | Apostolic Assembly

Maffey Films produced the DSA Fire Address video for the Apostolic Assembly’s Department of Social Assistance (DSA), documenting the organization's disaster relief efforts following the devastating Los Angeles wildfires of 2025.

Featuring Bishop Sam Rojas, Secretary of the Department of Social Assistance, the video highlights DSA's partnership with Open Hands Relief to provide essential resources to families impacted by the fires. Through collaboration with local churches, volunteers helped distribute supplies including water, clothing, food, diapers, and other necessities to individuals and families facing the aftermath of the disaster.

The production combines Bishop Rojas's address with cinematic B-roll of relief distribution, donated supplies, community members receiving assistance, prayer for affected families, and footage of fire-damaged neighborhoods. These visuals communicate both the scale of the devastation and the compassion of the people working to support those rebuilding their lives.

More than a record of disaster response, the video documents how faith-based organizations can mobilize resources, unite local congregations, and provide practical assistance during times of crisis. It communicates the mission of DSA to serve communities in need while highlighting the importance of coordinated humanitarian relief.

For Maffey Films, this project demonstrates how strategic nonprofit video production can document disaster relief initiatives, communicate an organization's community impact, and tell meaningful stories that connect audiences with a mission beyond the screen.
